Default When can you tell if they're interested in cars?

I met my wife at a PCA autocross. Over the years we've enjoyed our Porsches and the people we've met through car club events. But just because we love our Porsches doesn't mean that we are going to pressure our new son to share our interests.

Very nice. I remember sleeping on my text books as a child instead of actually study for an exam and I will have to tell you it really worked! With them being work shop manuals he might become an engineer and design the next generation of P-Cars. Stay tune.

Mine are so dirty that child protective services might come in if I did something like that. But that sure is a beautiful baby. My wife wants one and I should not have shown her these pictures.

My oldest couldn't care less about Porsches, my youngest on the other hand can't get enough of them...

Actually, very early. you will be surprised. I can't tell you how many pictures I have. Probably started at about 1.5 yrs old. Now, both my 5 yr old and 2 yr old boys are absolutely addicted. My 5 yr old knows an incredible amount of information. He knows a turbo vs. a GT3, hollow spoke wheels, recaro, etc. He loves to read the magazines. He takes POST-IT notes and marks pages he wants to show me and talk about. My wife worries that instead of a dr. he will became a car dealer I figure that as long as he is exercises his brain, learning to diseminate details, memory, etc...it's all good...

Here is my older at about 4 yrs old w/ the last 993... he was at that stage of fake smiling for pictures...

My son is 4, and when I buy a 993, I'm going to wrap in a Lightning McQueen skin so he can think Stickers lives in our garage. He has been into cars since 1.5, and way over the top into cars since the Cars movie.

Great pics of all your kids, they are adorable.

My kids do not seem to have the "sickness". My daughter has shown more interest in cars - she is 15 now. But she wants an SUV! But that is probably a good thing.

My son at 14 is just now starting to notice cars, usually pony cars. He really likes Mustangs.

I think I made a mistake taking them to a NASCAR race when they were still in a stroller. Not only did the cars only turn left, the noise scared them to death.

Not a learned response, if it's truly a sickness, it's genetic.

Hilarious pics.

Asquared, you need to change the TP roll so the little guy doesn't have to tear a page out of Excellence.

I knew the name of every car on the road by the time I was 5. My daughters (17 and 20) have no interest. You just let the kid develop their interests as they come forward, what ever they are.

great pics!

I'll add some of mine (not nearly as funny)
our daughter puts up with cars... if they are pink, it's a win for her
not sure why my son likes races so much... perhaps the past pic?

Funny, my daughters are 16 and 19 with the exact same story. The 16 year old does like being seen in the Vanquish but otherwise they have no interest in the cars themselves.
