Looking for a reliable (ie careful) place to take my '95 993 for its TX State Inspection. If it was OBDII I'd take it to the dealer but that's obviously not an option in this case.
Any of you local guys know of a location as close to Irving as possible? Even better if they test on Saturdays while I wait.

I don't know if either Mayo Performance or Zims Autotechnik in Euless and Bedford, respectively, perform state inspections, but they specialize in pre-993 Porsches and should be able to handle OBDI if they do.

Same here, I've been using Kwik Kar in Bedford for the last four years. I took it to Parkplace Mercedes the first time I had the inspection done but they're by appointment only. Both are good.

I wouldn't bother with the dealer. RUF takes my car to an inspection place up at Park and Midway (or nearby). Call them and find out. They know the 993 well based on the number of cars that RUF brings them and are very careful.
