Default Chicago performance and tuning

I'm looking for a simple alignment after installing new tires. I have only one installer that I trust in the Milwaukee WI area. Has anyone dealt with this vendor?

I have not used CPT, I use Cars Plus in Westmont for alignments, oil changes, etc. Ask for Mark Hill (owner) - he did my alignment after the previous owner completely screwed it up and it is perfect. His number is 630.969.5729.

The last owner of my car used them lots, it's my car in their front page pic. Also if you go to pics you will see the install of the moton set up on the car.
I cannot personally give them a thumbs up but my car is very well set up and the last owner was a good guy if that means anything. I'm sure they could do a good alignment to your 993.

Cheers,
Geoff

CPT is highly regarded in Chicago. In fact, you don't hear any bad things about them. Check out http://forums.quattroworld.com/lrqc/ and you'll see what I mean.

They don't work on many 993's, BUT Al does know how to do a proper 993 alignment. Mike (the previous owner of Geoff's car) and I were CPT's first 993 customers and we pointed Al to the Autometrics KT gauges, so Al uses those for KT. For alignments, I trust nobody else but Al. And a great place to get a dyno done if you want. BTW, if Al finds some issues on your car, just listen to him and get the stuff fixed/replaced. He knows what he's doing. Because Al is so closely involved in the Audi/Porsche/misc track scene in Chicago, he can't afford to have his reputation tarnished so he's 100% trustworthy.

+1 for CPT.

Al and Paul are standup guys. They've done work on my Audi and 911. He'll be doing some suspension work on my 993 real soon. Al had a 996 TT and recently upgraded to a 996 cup car.

Another good shop is Fischer Motors (847-304-8822) in Barrington. Rick and Peter Fischer have a ton of experience with these cars. They also know how to set the kinematic toe.
