Do you still have the receipt? I don't know how those can be used without damaging your car. Do a search for flat top jackstands. There are one or two options out there, none of them cheap, but worth it, I guess...

If you can, return them and buy these:

And then ask Santa Claus if you could get one of these to go with the stands:

They're pretty much the best.

These aren't thad bad. I thought mike in canada - has a 993 targa - built a stand for these similar to the bolt through the hockey puck. Basically making a flat top out of them.

I've owned lots of these notched-post jack stands in steel, and I've never trusted the engagement. We switched to aluminum Torin jack stands and I'm very very happy with them. Around $62/pair.

I think the ones Eric has pictured above are the same as the Tire Rack ones I mentioned. I have never used them, but they don't look as stable as my Escos. Better than the saddle type initially pictured, though.
These are the ones I use and recommend, though they are heavy and steel:

I bought two sets of the aluminium jack stands (as well as their aluminium jack) from Tire Rack...

10.5 " to 15.5" lift range...not excessive, but adequate for my needs.
I use rubber hockey pucks between the jack stands and chassis, and jack pads when using my hydraulic jack.

No easy access to hockey pucks in Tulsa ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
However, I will try the Stanley rubber block sander holder...should work???
Thanks for the feedback. I like the flat tops & will probably order some. I may keep these for my other cars & will try the rubber block on top for the 993??? Am I crazy or just stupid? Don't want to hurt the car but can't see this being a problem?
