Because -
1) I like having all systems work.
2) When doing the OBDII drive cycle, one of the steps is to drive for 15 min between 40-60mph between 2K - 3K RPM. This is indeed how I discovered that my CC was inoperative. It is agonizing to drive 50-55 MPH on an early Sunday morning trying to finish the OBDII drive cycle while (no joke) an Audi R8 and another 991 pass you by and give you a wave ---- and you are stuck there at 50 - 55 MPH on the freeway. CC would have been nice.

I was still having the cruise control problem even after changing to Tore's LED lamps. I tried the resisters and still had no cruise. Next I decided to add the extra brake lights in the fog sockets and use the standard lamps. Of course the added resistance now makes the CC operate normally. Really wish there was a way to fix this without adding multiple resisters.
