I think that this topic is discussed here many times. But anyways, what is the best wheel alignment setup purely for track? I have 225/40 R18 in front and 285/30 in back.

235 in the front would be better for a start
close to 0 toe front
max front camber (if no adjustable upper camber plates)
max front caster (max is often asymmetrical, pair to lesser side unless you're racing oval )
square rear camber (equal to the front, up to -2 deg)
kinematic 2-4, within 1 symmetrical
Yikes, no, you still need some rear toe, suggest RS spec if you have rubber bushings, less than RS spec if you have spherical bearings in the rear control arms.
Remember that kinematic is essentially dynamic toe (and a bit of dynamic camber) so in short, yeah, it's important .
