Default How much battery drain for radio??

Tomorrow night (Saturday) we are going to the 'Year One' car event at the Tiger Drive-In in North Georgia. The movie sound is available through the car radio. One click (or position) over of the ignition permits the radio to work but what else will be running in the 993?? Will it drain the battery too much over a few hours, especially if we stay for both movies? We don't need a dead battery after a fun night. (the battery is less than 2 years old and apparently healthy).

you could bring a portable radio if you're worried about it.

That is actually a very good idea. We have a nice boom box type sitting around the house here somewhere with excellent sound quality. Thank you! Never would have thought of something so simple.

A few hours shouldn't be a problem as long as the battery is charged. The stereo draws very little power unless you have a big aftermarket amp setup. Obviously you don't want to have any lights and/or HVAC stuff on.

The battery is definitely charged. We just did a 3 hour run to Charlotte last weekend and then 3 hours back. It is also a 45 minute drive to the drive-in tonight which will charge it up again. Thanks for the reply.

The draw from today's radios is trivial. Unless your battery is marginal, I'd not worry about it.
