Is that price for real?? I've got a set in my car and am happy to see that they might be worth some $$$, but that price seems a bit over the top.

They are a light weight version of the standard hard backs. Very unusual and i'll bet they are looking for the market value.

These are fairly rare seats to come up for sale, as most RS owners specified the Recaro buckets. They are considerably more expensive than the last pair I saw for sale in the UK.

I cannot understand why they are quite so expensive, if you want RS seats, surely you need the Bucket seats, these non electric recliners are a total let down in an RS compared the the buckets.

 

I put my hands on these last week in person. They are flawless, like a lot of the cars/products at RPM Sportscars. Since I am absolutely insistent on painting the backs of whatever sports seats I buy in a matching turquoise blue, I decided that these weren't for me. The combination of the grey inserts and blue blacks would just be too busy. I thought about having the inserts dyed regular black, which would probably come out fantastic. But then you have taken a pair of OEM period/spec-correct RS seats and modified them. Then, not having worth paid the premium for them.

All this long rant to say that if I wasnt painting my backs, I would consider these. Anyone who has been looking for a flawless set should consider them. They are in absolutely new condition. Not sure whether they will be sold for less than asking or not.
