MD/DC/VA/WV/PA/DE "Meet and Drive" 9/19/10 POST YOUR PICS HERE!
Rain date will be 10/3/10 at 10am, same place.
It's been about 5 months since our last "Meet and Drive" so the next one will be on 9/19/10 at 10am at the usual spot, the Rockville, MD Starbucks at the corner of Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Rd next to the Silver Diner and in front of the Toys R Us. (11802 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852)
We usually meet and chat in the parking lot from 10-11:15 or so, then take a spirited 1 hr to 1:10 min drive to a lunch spot somewhere in the area. You can show up for the "Meet" only, or do the "Meet and Drive" and not the lunch, or do all 3.
We'll pick it semi-democratically this time, the drive and the restaurant. Instead of our usual Maryland route, the drive will take us into Northern Virginia somewhere and we'll end up at a reasonably price restaurant in Northern Virginia. We did one that ended up in Leesburg once and it was a great time. Anyone have any ideas for a drive? We did Tuscarora Mill the last time we did Va.:

It was great and they took reservations. We can't do the Whites Ferry crossing from Poolesville to Leesburg due to the low clearance of some of our cars and possible back-ups at the ferry crossing. Maybe we could end up at Tuscarora Mills again unless someone else has another suggestion for maybe a cheaper place that could take a reservation for 15-25 people? Sometimes we only end up with 10-15 people so they should be flexible.
Just post your responses and any drive ideas and we'll keep it free form! After a few days we'll narrow down the drive and the restaurant and I'll edit the original post to reflect our pic. At that point I'll post it on all the Porsche forums I can think of.

Steve, I just logged on to write to you about this! You beat me to it... well good. Looking fwd to it. I'll try to come up with a couple of route ideas as well.

Sounds good! I'll look forward to see what you come up with. I'll be away for 5 days in the midwest doing 5 more state high points till Monday but can respond then. I should be at 58% of the US State High Points by the end of the weekend. Yeahhh!
