Windshield replacement questions
Are these windshields glued in place using a sealant?
If so, I'd be removing the windshield myself. I have seen to many frames rust within a year because the installer scraped the windshield frame with the tool that cuts the sealant. The factory dip is excellent and one I would not want to scrape away except for the area where rust has formed.
I'd probably use POR 15. I've read good things about that rust treatment.

ALWAYS OPEN WINDOWS WHILE REMOVING OR INSTALLING (when installing for 24hrs or more the better)
I followed exactly the workshop manual until cutting so:
remove transversal bar on top of dash
open doors and unmount side dash screws and top center screw
remove upper dash, and unplug antenna cable
remove inner seal
plug suckers on windshield
remove outer seal
with a cold knife (I used brand Equalizer), introduce under windshield on middle bottom and cut by pulling on the cold knife cord.
contour the windshield
pro people start from top, but I preferred bottom so that I put back wipers to hold
the windshield until an extra hand came to help me carry it.
to stop wipers in middle course, turn on and remove ignition key in desired position
and don't forget the open windows, regards
