Default Top part of my hifi speaker enclosure is coming off... PIC

after checking http://p-car.com/diy/ard/

I looked and all of the door panel screws are there and these clips i assume should slide into a slot and should not have this adhesive on them correct? I guess the PO decided to glue them. Anyway, can you buy these little clips or and i going to have to reglue them back? I would rather just have the non hifi panels and not deal with this. is this normal?

Isn't this the 993 you just picked up?

I remember reading your thread about you deciding whether or not you should buy it...

I wish I had an answer...but I don't. Possibly take back to dealer and have them repair?

If I recall correctly from the last time I had mine off, it is a blade and slot fitting, with no retention at that point. The door panel is held in place by the screws along the bottom edge.

I would check those screws to see if they might have been stripped out, causing someone to try a relatively sloppy repair with the glue.

My car, at some point in its life, had the same problem, and the PO glued it back on

Take the speaker cover off. All you need is a phillips screw driver. Clean the glue off. The panels are a little fussy in that they must be fitted tight before inserting the screws or they will will have a little gap in the spot you took a picture of. Once apart it will become clear how it should fit together. I think the PO did not realize this and decided to glue it back. I have had to adjust the covers after a speaker swap but after a couple of try's fit correctly again.
