Default Seat height

Hi all. I am about 5' 9'' and find the line of site on my 96 C2 a bit low. Searching through the past posts others have made reference to raising the seat with blocks. Can some one give me some advice on how to do this? Is there accepted hardware for this or are the risers sourced from the local lumbers yard? I have never taken out the seats. How much of an adventure is this? Any web site describing this?

Thanks

Brent

Second. I appear to be missing a rubber plate That sits in the center console. It is about 4" x 2 I would think. Any advice on where to get this and what it is called

Thanks

For a better sight line out the front, do a search on windshield washer parking on the right side. If they're out of the way, it might help some. (I've got the other problem and am looking to lower my seat...)

The tray bottom rubber is commonly missing. I think this is what you are after:

A note on parking the wipers on the other side... that may have negative ramifications resulting from streaking of rain. A tradeoff that I wouldn't be willing to make.

I installed the risers on my old 911 SC (sold) so I could sit higher. They worked great. Did both sides so the seats would appear even. The units I used when under the rails and came with longer bolts. Raised the seat 1/2 inch as I recall. I'd forgotten until your post, so I may do it to the 993, too. I don't know if they are the ones mentioned above, but if so, go for it. Helps a lot.
