Default Speed Yellow seat belts installed

I finally got around to installing the yellow seat belts I bought from Carnewal a couple a weeks ago. I must say that they really lighten up the otherwise dark (all black) interior and I personally think they look great. Have already got compliments for them. Also put on the wide ovals, which look soo much better that the standards tips.

Very nice. THe belts look great and it's hard to believe the wide ovals were not std from the factory.

Nice contrast with the yellow on black.

You could go crazy and do the calipers too!

Red seat belts tempt me. But then the price tempers my enthusiasm...

I'm going to install red ones at some point. Is it an easy DIY?

if you want front and back, arent they somewhere between 750-1000? not a cheap change I guess... but I do think that they really add something to any 993

I actually checked with Sunset last week for red belts.....

$874 for the set of 4 ($363.64/pair fronts & $512.30/pair rears). Fronts are in-stock in the USA. Rears are in-stock in Germany.

Just as a Comparo, I called Stevens Creek Porsche (San Jose area) and they wanted $1484 for the set of 4!!!! ummmmm.....ouch!

They look awesome! This will be the last mod to top off my interior! As for the rear belts, better off spending that money on a RSD!

Just a thought - as nice as the colored belts look, they are regularly being handled. Sometimes by grubby hands. Curious as to how they hold up in the long term.

Best,

Matt

They certainly add some color to an otherwise dull interior, but you have to stay on top of them when it comes to keeping your hands clean. And not only your hands, but the hands of your mechanic(s). In time they will look poor.

Maybe worth spraying liberally with Scotchgard.
