Default Polar Silver Turbo S Wing for trade?

I just bought a '96 C4S and the previous owner installed a turbo S wing. Unfortunately, he did not keep the standard decklid with retractable wing. My preference is to go back to the original setup, so if anyone has a polar silver 993 and you are interested in trading for a turbo s wing, please let me know. From my quick inspection, my wing looks to be in great shape. I will provide detailed pics if someone has interest.

thanks,

Mark

P.S. Polar silver deck lid is first choice so no paint work will be required.

thanks,

I had someone else ask if it was OEM and I told him that I didn't think it was...but honestly, I'm not sure how to tell. Is there a specific place to find a part number etc...are the aftermarket wings made of different materials? What is a positive way to ID this?

I guess the only reason I was thinking it was aftermarket is because my understanding is that the OEM wings are ULTRA expensive...but really, I don't know.

thanks,

Mark

Lift the wing up and take a pic of the underside, also by the vents. Post it and we should be able to tell.

On the small inner lip about six inches above the latch on the inside there are two little embossed squares. One will have PORSCHE written in it and the other one will have part # 993 512 980 02 in it. Hope this helps!

OK,

just got the car back from the shop. Turn signal fixed...

Here are the pics of the underside of the wing. It does have two squares, but the paint makes it hard to see what is written in them...I have included pics of the squares and other pics of the underside of the wing. let me know your opinions on if it's OEM or aftermarket.

thanks,

mark

^ doesn't look like an MA Shaw piece, could be OEM. How is the finish inside of the ducts - is it smooth? Most aftermarket ones don't have that grill as they are not easy to come by.

Go on the turbo forum and ask one of the Turbo S owners to compare.
