I'm back too (referring to Mr. Sullivans post...he posted a similar title)...after my '95 c2 sold in about 2002, I thought onward and upward. I ended up with a really nice 996 that I modded exactly the way I wanted it (wheels, seats, coil overs, cai, fabspeed, etc...). It was a really fast 996 and i had it of a while and enjoyed it as my daily driver.
of course, the value dropped like a prom dress. After looking for a few months and very seriously considering one from a board member, who was very helpful and honest in his discription of the car, I ended up finding one locally that seemed like a good deal.
Polar Silver / Black...pretty stock except it does have the turbo S tail/deck lid, which I plan to replace ASAP with a standard retractable deck lid (if any polar silver owners want to trade, let's talk). I plan on this being my daily driver so i'm not going to go crazy with the mods...maybe some M033, HID lights and eventually, when it needs a new clutch, I'll do a LWFW with the RS clutch. Thats my plan...here are some cell phone pics...
My first 993 was/is Arctic Silver. Very fond memories. If polished really well, that color does all kinds of cool things in different light... brown tones, etc.
Welcome Back. Beautiful ride! We have a similar set up in cars and color...except the one I have is a 2S and has the factory S tail and front end....after a few months (and a spin in a 993TT)....really want to lose the S tail as well.
