For Sale: CDR220, 993 Hi Fi Amp, Connection Cable, Removal Tools, Repro Code Card and Printed Operators manual
I have decided to leave well enough alone and stick with the aftermarket setup currently in my car. I hooked up enough to power on this unit, enter code, tried AM and FM, played a CD. I hooked up some speakers to the outputs and it worked perfectly so I am sure everything works as good as new. This unit has not had the faceplate upgrade, I planned to have this done and order the Ipod cable and antenna adapter at the same time from Becker. Some people say the update is not necessary but I think it is. Here are the details:
Head Unit:
Porsche CDR220 model # BE6625 Manufacture date: 0602 Manufactured by Becker in Germany. In perfect condition, buttons and ***** look great. In picture you can see the reflection off the unit in the sun.
Removable faceplate, AM/FM, Single CD, Traffic Programming, Speed Dependant Volume (if connected), Telephone Mute (if connected), IPOD capable (with optional cable) Red flashing security light (can be turned off in the menu) and more.
Amplifier:
Nokia Hi Fi Amplifier from 1995 993 coupe with 10 speaker hi fi option (code M490) Part # 993 645 301 02
Cable:
Connection Cable from CDR220 to Nokia Amp Part # 993 645 413 00. This carries the amp power signal and pre amp out to the hi fi amp. This may not be needed in later model cars but is definitely needed in early 95’s.
Also included:
2 Stereo removal tools for the CDR 220. Reproduction Porsche Code Card with Code, Reprinted Operators Manual (from download), wiring info for head unit and amp
What you may need:
There is a small L shaped antenna adapter from Becker, depending on your current setup you may need this or already have it. It is inexpensive and can be purchased from Becker Autosound, SW Stereo or other sources. IPOD cable (if you want to hook up an IPOD you need it), Aux input (for use with satellite radio, MP3 players or other audio source). Faceplate Upgrade, this makes the LCD readout much more viewable from the drivers seat angle in a 993.
I would like to sell this as a complete package, but if you want to send a PM for just the radio (with tools and book) or the amp (with or without cable) I will put you in line if nobody wants the whole package. If you have a newer car and don’t need the cable I am sure there is another early 95 owner that would appreciate it.
SOLD Thanks for the interest. Hopefully this is a fair price (basically what I have invested so far).
I am listing this in the 993 forum first to give a fellow 993er a chance before it gets listed in the FS section or on the bay. If you have any questions or want any additional pictures let me know. Thanks for looking.
