Default Feeler: price for 18" narrow body hollow spokes

Would like to hear opinions on a fair price for an OEM set of 18" hollow spokes (turbo twists) in narrow-body fitment in excellent condition - straight, true, and no curb rash whatsoever. I know they are (semi) rarish, but not really "unobtainium".

fronts:
- 18" x 8"
- ET 52 (mm)
- p/n: 993.362.136.00

rears:
- 18" x 10"
- ET 65 (mm)
- p/n: 993.362.140.01

TIA

I bought some this year for $1100. They had a few small nicks and blemishes but no rash. Center caps not included.

I bought a perfect set last year for $350. That said, I'll give you $500.

You need to be aware that your 8" wide front wheels were originally made for the widebody cars and are much rarer and valuable in a NB set than the 7.5" wide version, which is what came on NB cars from the factory (ET 56 mm, p/n 993.362.134.05). You don't see this combination of widths in a package for NB very often, usually you would have to buy the 8" wheels in a set of 4 for widebody and split the set, sell off the rears, etc. which would be an expensive exercise all by itself. The premium here would probably be $200 to $300 over a set with 7.5" fronts.

I'm not so sure that your theory on 8" fronts is true. My NB 993 came with 8" fronts from the factory. From what I have gathered, the 7.5" fronts were featured on the early 3.4L 996s and Boxsters. I did buy a used set from a '99 996 owner and the fronts were 7.5s.

Could be wrong, but the 7.5" width wheel is a 993 part number and the sets I've seen for sale with 8" fronts have been widebody offsets for rears. May be it's an early ('95/'96) wheel offering. At anyrate, finding 8" fronts alone or in a NB set doesn't happen very often as far as I've seen.

My '96 NB 993 also came from the factory with 8" front hollow spokes, PN 993.362.136.00 (ET52), and 10" rears, PN 993.362.140.01 (ET65) so the same as the OP is asking about. They were part of the "sport chassis with 18" wheels" option package which ran $3901.

Great info, thanks.

I will have to double-check the part numbers (I am currently out of town) but I am reasonably sure that the fronts are 18"x8".

For now, I will probably keep the wheels, but thank you for the inquiries I have received. It wasn't my intent to get anyones hopes up.

A yeomans work, to be sure, and thank you for that.

Alternatively you could look at http://www.944racing.de and click on "Felgen" on the left-hand-side and then on "Tabelle" in the ensuing text. HTH
