Make sure the CEL works and goes out after starting. Wouldn't be the first time that bulb was found to be missing.

Glad to hear the car passed with flying colors. I've been following this tread looking for updates!

I saw this car online and it looked pretty clean.

Congrats!

the way I understood it... 8-12% would be an tight engine, with a bit higher mileage 15-20% would be realistic. I had franz blam here in Atlanta run the test and the PPI and he said for this car/age/mileage this was very good.

Looks like a beauty - welcome to the club - the ski rack is behind the second door on the left.

(makes the slope easier to slide down).

Congrats.

Sounds high too me. My cars leak downs were in the 1 - 4% range except for 1 cylinder that was 6% although I suspect that there could be variations in readings depending on how the test is done. If the car runs well and oil consumption is low then I suppose it really doesn't matter. I know the mechanic who did mine said the leak down numbers might get better if it was driven hard and more often as the car had sat a lot.
