Default Recommended Tiptronic Transmission Fluid?

Hey guys, I'd like to change the transmission fluid on my 993 tip and was wondering what the recommended fluid was? As always, thanks for the information!

I used the Amsoil ATF and have had no issues.

Used Redline Sythetic ATF. No issues.

see http://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?pid=50&pcid=9

Suggest replacing the filter and measuring the drained ATF volume carefully so you don't overfill.

I was under my 993 with a triptronic transmission and noticed that ATF level indicator look to be over filled? Here is a pic. What are the ill effects of an over filled transmission?

First thing that comes to mind is increase in pressure resulting in possible oil leaks, blowing past seals.

A new sight gauge would be nice. Perhaps you can see the level better than in the photo.
You did have the engine running and the fluid warmed up?
It does not take long to dump some fluid from the quick fill connector using a plastic tooth pick or whatever to push the ball bearing up on the one way valve. Once the fluid has cooled down of course.

Pic was taken when engine was cold and not running. Thanks for the input.
