BBS Wheel Repair - Shop Recommendation in Nor Cal??
All:
I've got a leak at one of the nuts holding the center piece of the wheel to the outer rim on BBS E88 wheels, does anyone know a reputable shop in Nor Cal that could fix this?
TIA
Don

How did you figure out where the leak is? I just bought also E88 and realized that on of my front wheels was low in pressure. I monitoring the pressure right now to figure out if it was just a error when getting the rubber on or a permanent problem.

I have a really fast leak on my rear wheel, I thought it was the tire but found no nail etc. I then sprayed water on the rim and immediately could see and hear hissing at one of the nuts. I also have a very slow leak on one of my front wheels, not sure where the leak is. Probably time to send all four wheels in for inspection and resealing but I need to find a reputable shop.

You can buy the new bbs sealing rings and bolts at http://www.bobwoodmantires.com/bwtrims.php
You can also go ghetto and use silicone caulk on the gap once you have removed the tire. Put two strips of masking taoe around the wheel where you want the caulk to stop. Apply caulk into the crack, smoothing it, then remove tape before it has dried.
One of my bbs has a leak and I'm on the fence which way to go.
I do it myself so no shop recommendations for this. It is not really hard if you have an accurate torque wrench that will do 15 ft lbs or so.

You may want to give Jose at Rite-Way Wheels in Walnut Creek a call and find out whether he can fix this for you. I have had excellent service from him on a number of occasions, but then again I have never taken the same type of problem you are having to him.
