I thought there are different engine codes/mounting points/flange shape between manual and tip cars, no?

Has anyone used this conversion? I am importing a car from Japan, low miles C2 from 1995. Man cars here in Dubai are rare and expensive (large expat demand) I intend to keep the car and take back to Europe so re-sale value is not an issue.

I have done this swap but not used the LA conversion. The kit is not complete if you want it to function and look like a factory manual car. There are some harness differences at the pedal assembly and at the transmission. The speedometer is different, ... . Most shops will not do this swap. If you find one who will, be very sure they are intimately familiar with the 993 and be prepared to pay big $$$.

Do RoW cars have a CEL, OBD? If the car were OBD II you would have to use a manual trans ECU to avoid a CEL. As you are considering 95 car you do not have to change the ECU but will likely need it reprogrammed to keep it from stalling with the manual.

This would be a swap from hell. You'd need all the engine/trans electronics, sensors, and harnesses from the 997. So you would need the engine from the 997. And that is just the start.
