North Georgia Drive 7/11/10

This is a open invitation for any drivers and drivers cars for a ride in the North Georgia mountains.

Right now we have some Porsche folks, some of the Corvette folks and some BMW folks that say they are going to make it.


The last one we did was just a few 928's on a trial run, we started on 400 south of Dahlonega and went north on 60 through Suches to Morgantown, then East to the Appalachian Highway to 129 South down to Highway 180 back to Suches (that is a road that is every bit as good as the Dragon iMHO) then back to Dahlonega.

The route is not set yet and we are open to suggestions on it, but I would imagine that it will be the same.

Should be a great time, and this is not a race, just a fun drive.

The more folks the better, it will be interesting to see which group shows up with the most cars.

 

I have my kids B-Day party then.... If for some reason it gets moved to the 10th... I'm in! Otherwise, have fun!

 

If the weather cooperates I would like to attend. The key word is 'fun' drive.

11:00 at the Waffle house/gas station at the intersection off 400 and US 19 and US 19 South and 60 and 115 and long branch road(the street address is 46 Longbranch Road)
That is near Dahlonega, just to the SE.

 

How many Porsches do you have coming so far??

 

Bummer that's World Cup final game day...I may have to TiVo the game and come DRIVE!!

 

I have no idea how many will show up, but I expect there to be more Porsche's than Corvette's.

If it looks like it may rain that leaves the C5/C6 corvette folks home with a can of wax.

 

Don't want to Hijack this thread.. But since this is GA guys... Is anyone attending the Caffeine and Octane this Sunday morning in Marietta? Usually pulls in almost 300 cars...
