The car is going through some exterior upgrades and i am looking for a good, honest bodyshop that can do a good job not only on the paint but also installing the parts properly. And at a reasonable price too
It's not too much to ask for right?
any recommendations?

Ray Gallagher at Quality Craft Autobody in Huntington Beach is a good guy. They do special projects for Andial and I saw the prototype from Fister there. They do very good work. I highly recommend.

Braces in West LA is said to be the "best," with lots of P-car experience. No personal experience.
I've been taking "normal" cars to Lion's Auto Body in Harbor City since about '97. Mike and Roger are nice, honest and reasonable. Even take cars in on Saturdays.

I had used Braces with very good results a few years ago. Recently sent a friend with a Boxster there and the result was not so good. Heard that Brace was not able to supervise the way he used to.
+1 on Deshlers, inconvenient from where I live but the work they on my wife's car was first rate.

Anaheim Collision Center is owned by an OC region PCA member, Bruce, who owns multiple Porsches and is very highly recommended by many OC pcar owners.

Bradley Allen Autobody in Encinitas is good. My old roommate used to work there and they have a few skilled craftsman that really do good work. The painter is also excellent, but I think it helps to know them so thay they take their time. They prepped and painted my Fairlane Hardtop show car and it turned out like Black Glass!

I would highly recommend Deshler's as I had great results and the place is very well run. As Martin said, they really aren't into "restoration" and don't want to do full repaints, but they might on a case by case basis. Their core competence is collision repair.
Also, I have seen the work done by Anaheim Collision Center and know Bruce. He seems to have a passion for what he does and also loves Porsches - always a good thing.
