Bought the 993 July 2nd of '09. I was 37, now 38.
My body feels like it's 50 and I mentally feel like I'm 25. When driving the 993 I feel like a giddy High School Kid.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
First fun car was a 92' Mustang LX 5.0 second fun car was 2000 Trans Am WS6. The 993 is the most fun yet.
Had a bunch of boring cars too. I had the slowest car on earth that moved under it's own power... It was a 84' Mercury Capri 2.3L 4 banger that had 180,000 miles on it when I paid $200 for it. I drove it 4 years up to 250,000 miles on the clock when I gave it to a close friend who needed a car badly when I bought the 92 Mustang LX. The Capri was VERY tired but extremely reliable. It went from A to B EVERY time, just not very fast. I actually clocked the car under full throttle from 0-60 one day in the 26 second range. Yes... it took twice as long to get to 60 as any respectable car takes to run a 1/4 mile! Just what a 17 year old kid needed... a REALLY slow but VERY reliable car. My friend drove it a couple years and then sold it to someone else. I saw it on the road one day about 2 years after he sold it and it was still putting along. It had to have had over 400,000 miles on it by then. The car refused to die, and I beat the living **** out of it when I owned it!

I'll be 49 at the end of next month...and I am SOOO good looking when driving my C4S. In fact, I might be the worlds most interesting man.
But then again, I've always thought I was better looking when standing next to may of the cars I have owned. My favorite story...I used to have Saturday night after hours parties at my house. The house was always stocked-beer/booze, outside hot tub always up to temp. They were a riot till I started to not know anybody in the house, and crap started getting abused.
Anyway, there was this one pretty young thing with a couple of friends. I talked to her group off and on most of the night, at two different places. She never, talked, or even looked at me for that matter. When it came time to go, I asked her friends if they would like to come back to the after hours party at my house. I told them the deal-beer/booze, hot tub, some people would crank tunes and dance, some would sit around the dining room table and play cards. It was generally a good time..
When they asked where I lived, I told them to simply follow me, "what do you drive" they asked...meet me in the parking lot, look for a black Porsche with a big wing on the back, and follow me to the hot tub party at my house
She looked at me then!
We dated briefly, yea I was shallow, and she WAS so good looking too.
Ahh the memories of youth...that was about 20 years ago.

Got mine at 53 and this year I'll be 56. And I agree with Jan the Man, should have got it 15 years ago or in my case 14 years ago as mine is a 96 C4S...congrats to those that got theirs sooner.
