Wait a minute, the new buyer could fly out and drive it home. Glad I thought of that!

BTW, the car looks to be a great deal. If I hadn't just dumped $$$ into my NB coupe, I could be interested.
This is exactly what I went through (from 1 -4) 1 year ago when I picked up my C4S at the west coast. It was one of the most rewarding things I did with a car.

This time of year 'open carrier' is fine- I wouldnt think twice about it.
Even enclosed; one would only be looking at about $1,200.

Gorgeous car.

no reputable shipper I priced, was below $1800 open, I got covered quotes of up to $2300. Now, maybe things cheapen up in the summer months, as I was pricing transport in March, April, etc. I lookd at cars in Reno,NV, Bellevue, Wa., and the N & S. Ca., and transport was always expensive, unless the car I was interested in was at a dealer, then they would assist in shipping.

Considering how low these cars are...just how many times do you feel comfortable loading and unloading them without damage? How many "driven" miles is acceptable also for delivery?

I simply don't believe you can get a West coast car all the way East, for $1200.

Reliable, Thomas Sunday, Momentum, etc...they're all well above that. I guess it all depends on how much faith in mankind, and the low bidder, you really have. Me, not so much!

It's not "what you know," it's "who you know." I've shipped several 911's from the west coast to the northeast, enclosed, for $1,200.

Agreed... A few phone calls can go a long ways, specially in this economy. Can't believe this thing hasn't sold yet, soooooooo much car for the money.

I depends on origin/destination. If they have to pick up and/or drop off in remote/rural areas, the price is substantially higher. If they are going from Major Metro area to Major Metro area Reliable,Interstae, etc will be in the $1300 - 1600 range for a 911 enclosed coast to coast.

I used Intercity in Fall 2009. ~$1,200 from San Fransisco to Washington DC.

They even have a Rennlist discount.

Coast to coast in a C4S? Any day! So long I'm allowed to take 7 or 8 days coming back, I'll do it as a Rennlist favor, no cost to anyone on the East Coast who wants to buy it. I've done the trip 3X in a 993 and loved every minute of it.

It's definitely a nice car. I have seen this one around the neighborhood not realizing it was owned by a fellow rennlister - very nice looking. Looks like it was well taken care of. I think it is also priced fairly.

and... has been unmolested as far as I can tell.

Oh man that's a beauty! Wish I were in the market again now. Timing is everything.

I know when I am in the market, nothing I am interested in will be around. Uggh.

GLWS!
