I actually felt bad looking at this car and seeing how it has been treated.

At any price? I _______ guarantee you that if this car showed up with a $30K asking price it would get bid up from there from guys stumbling over themselves to get cash to the seller. Sadly, we always have to compete with Flipper, and that complicates things. Low miles are now easily verifiable, and omissions in maintenance/neglect/minor damage can be covered up in various ways. We KNOW that............. But internet group think has laughably put so much emphasis on this near-meaningless statistic of non-mileage over the past 5-7 years. (It wasn't like this at all with previous generations in the '70s, '80s, or '90s.)

If the price is right, with some TLC this car could be a great find.
Hard to understand how a car with less than 30K on the clock gets into that conditon. Oil change history is not surprising if they couldn't bother to put on the stone guard after a paint repair. Screens on the wing intakes?? Unless the car is in Kansas and is being used as a Tornado chaser, debris will not make it's way into the engine.
You can run the VIN to determine if the wing was put on at the factory, it probably would have come with a Turbo S front end as well...that aerokit II was an expensive factory option.
Good luck!
PS. POST PIC'S!

Maybe I missed it, what are the colors?
I suggest to really point out the flaws and your concerns, show him your car as a comp for suitable /expected condition and low-ball the sh^t out of him with a pending, extensive PPI and take it from there.
Three months from now you could be way above water in a really nice C2S.

I just took a few pics of the trouble areas, I haven't looked at those close enough to see if they would show up on the web.
Thanks

Say it would cost you $50k to buy a comparable 30k mi. C2S in pristine shape. Say it would cost you $10k to bring this one up to that level. Your offer should be $10k + $5k=$15k off $50k or $35k. The $5k is your "pad" for going through the aggrevation and risk. You can modify these numbers any way you want but always factor in the "pad". Otherwise, why bother? Just go buy the pristine example.

I put on the MA Shaw wing and put in the proper factory panels under the topside body-color louvers when I did the job in 2001. This can be remedied for about $250 if I remember correctly.
