Hey. I see good pix of the distributor so looks like you might be able to answer my question. See my post just below yours about "distributor belts". Dealer is working on my car, said something about two belts....one needs to be replaced, the other is part of the distributor and gets replaced only when it breaks. I am suspicious of his story......and getting suspiciouser....

probably it's a communication mishap, maybe the mistake comes from the words "dual distributor belt", add an S in the end.
just a hunch, but if dealer spoke of the belt, maybe he had good intentions !!
Any dealer worldwide would not mention the belt, since distributor is sold complete
as an exchange part, or new at dealer.
Imagine you say OK I want the belt changed, he doesn't have a part number.
I think this one was slightly less dumber than what I heard. just take that into consid., he's a salesman after all and not a mechanic I presume.

They promised I would get the car back today. (And yesterday, and Monday). Told them I want to see the belts (distributor, fan, etc) they took off. Not that I doubt they changed the distributor belt....but.....

Dealer called last evening, everything done, except having trouble with the alarm system. I chuckled, "now you feel my pain". I spent $2k the month before having them fix the immobilizer.....
