Unusual INNER chrome bezels for dials..
I've always been an admirer of the turbo / turbo 's' dials. I'm not certain, but I think they were the only dials that were supplied with the inner chrome bezels. I know there have been group buys for the outer rings, but I'm interested in wheterh anyone's found / fabricated the inner chrome rings. I think they are subtle but give a fantastic look to the dials.
The only person I know in the UK who fitted them aftermarket, had to buy a complete set of turbo 's' dials and strip the bezel out....
See photos below of what I'm talking about. Picture paints 1000 words etc...

CalvinC4S - The faces of the dials in the bottom photo are aftermarket - and the inner rings were added at the time of the face change. But the rings themselves are definitely OEM and came from a turbo 's' set of dials - I think that was the only one that had them - but happy to be corrected.
RDS928S - thanks for the info on N Hollywood Speedo. Will contact them to see if they'll sell me the rings - I can't send my dials to USA to have it done....

I believe OEM white or silver dials will say VDO at the bottom of the gauges. The top is OEM but I'm pretty sure the bottom is aftermarket. Not sure about the inner silver ring. I think that's an OEM option.

I have these and are OEM option along with silver dials on my NA. I didn't notice I had them until you posted this. It shows up on my option code.

Hi,
Yes - OEM say VDO at the bottom. Just for clarification...In the lower photo in my initial post - these are my friends dials taken from his own 993. He took the dials to the specialist company in the UK that works on dials. He also bought a complete set of turbo 's' dials in order to strip them of the inner chrome ring. The company that changed the faces to the alu look also fitted the chrome rings from the turbo 's' dials resulting in the dials above. I think it's a great look and wondered if I too could find the chrome inner rings - just without needing to buy a set of clocks from a car that already had them and stripping them out. Wanted to make my life easy.....Hope that explains it a bit better.
shadow993 - what's the option code out of interest?
