Delete the basket handle, especially if you plan to use an RS tail.

Keeping the basket handle isn't the best look, but it isn't the worst thing in the world either:

Just remove the basket handle and cover the 2 small holes with color matched bumper plugs. Install RS wing and enjoy. Really easy to go back to stock.

Where did you get the wing? Most have said I had to remove the handle or notch the wing.

plugs wont work very well. there is 1 hole on 1 side and 2 holes on the other side. The 2 holes are close together and I had to trim the plugs. Looks kinda cheesy. To answer your question, bumperplugs.com has plugs, but I don't know if they have them specifically for these holes.

the wing will fit with the basket handle w/o any modification to either.

i purchased plugs from lowes, i believe the small one are 1/8" diameters and the big hole is a 3/8" diameter. From far it looks ok. I do plan to weld them up eventually.

I don't know where my fiberglass wing came from, but i've always assumed it was probably MA Shaw since there weren't many suppliers of that 5+ years ago. Definitely no notching needed. And i'm not the first person to do this either. I don't recall it being particularly close either.

How do you pass your yearly safety inspection w/o a center brake light?

I hope most people replace it with the high window mount.

3rd brake light is good when you drive a low car that stops in half the distance of the car behind you.
