Default Urgent help plse!

Hi all...I hanged circuit board on switchblade to the new keyfob and replaced the battery. I was able to start it and drive but when I stopped the immobilser kicked in and then I wasn't able to unlock/restart....of course the alarm kicked off and I'm now siting at a Porsche dealer. They think they need new parts but someone else said it should be an easy fix with the dealer just plugging in and resetting the remote to synch with the immobilizer (thgt being when I replaced the battery it wiped out the circuit boards memory)
has anyone done the switchblade to new remote casing upgrade and hadthe same issue? I really want to drive home today if I can assist these Guys with the right answer! Thks in advance

Replacing the battery in the remote doesent erase any memory. it should still work fine.

I was going to reply the same way, but it sounded too simple.

I've changed batteries (as we all have) and changed key fobs (to the non-switchblade version) several times. The only issue that can happen is the circuit board and/or battery isn't quite correctly in place creating a short.

I realize this sounds silly, but have you tried pulling the battery and board out and re-installing them into the new key fob?

Driveblock seems like a goofy system but it does work properly if everything is in order. I'd personally go get some lunch and have the dealer attend to it since you're there.....

I wish I had read that after changing to keyfob u need to reprogram the link....Porsche guy said it shud have worked ...except...when there is an issue with the alarm previously unknown ...ie when you change batteries then the alarm problem shows up...he sees this only once a year but I requires finding what needs replacing then installing it. Apparently you never know there's an issue until the switchblade battery is replaced...I tried the on/off entering of the immobilizer code but with alarm screaming it's apparently too late. His Porsche computer couldn't even find the alarm system via diagnostics

Welcome to immobilizer hell. Spent $2k with dealer last month trying to get my '95 working and I have finally given up. Taken valuables out and leave the car unlocked most of the time. Occasionally it will lock, but there is no predicting it, maybe one out of 10 times if that.
