Default New stereo

Fitted a new stereo to the 993 yesterday as the Porsche one in the car was cassette only. I normally only buy Alpine as I have always liked them but this time bought a Philips out of all things as I liked all that it offered. I'm not a big audiophile and probably own three CD's so I'm fairly easy to please.

What I did like is the USB and SD slots and that you could change the colour to orange/red. Its certainly not a factory looking stereo if that's what your after.

Here are the specs

* Enjoy music & video from DVD / CD /SD card / USB & MP3 link
* 3 band parametric equalizer with 8 presets
* Built-in 50W x 4 amplifiers for excellent sound quality
* 3.5" colour TFT LCD screen
* Support rear-view camera mode for backing up safety
* Dual video outputs for entertainment in rear seats
* Detachable flip-down front panel for anti-thief security

nice head unit, did you do the important bits as well ( amp, speakers) as stock units tend to suck....?

No. I'm actually quite happy with the sound it produces although I'm not a big audio guy. I was almost tempted to have no stereo with just an Ipod run to speakers somehow?
