Default Looking for engine tray (and front trunk carpet) '97 NB

I'm looking for an engine tray for my '97 NB, as I plan to drive it in the rain. I realize this is controversial, but I would rather have one on hand.
Anybody have one stored they would like to get rid of? Let me know.
Also still ISO front trunk carpet (anthracite) for car WITH CD changer.
Thanks!

If you are in or near Dallas, I have two engine trays. You can have one if you pick it up.

I have a NB engine cover. If anyone wants it, it free. Just pay for shipping.

I need one for a turbo. I found out the hard way that a C4S one will not work on a turbo.

M y 1995 993C2 has been running > 5 years without an engine tray. I have never had an incident which suggested that I must reinstall it. I have driven through massive rain in Florida. If you wish my tray, let me know.

Was it designed to provide rain protection? I thought it was to guard against foreign objects that are kicked up as well as noise mitigation to meet a Swiss(?) standard.

Stated differently, does washing my engine with water hurt it?

The tray is aerodynamic. The car goes faster with it on.

My understanding from some bulletins is the tray was used to meet sound requirements in some European countries. Maybe there were multiple reasons.
