Hi

Does anyone know if the limits are the same and if so what are they? I have seen people saying that the standard is anything between 6650 and 6800 rpm.

I have been experimenting with a generic aftermarket chip and my Tip is changing up right on the rev limit. Is the standard limit 6,800? If so I will have my aftermarket chip upped to 7,000.

Have you ever hit the limiter with your car? I've never heard the rev limiter in mine. My car shifts at ~6800 rpm.

Stock rod bolts are stressed enough at the redline I would not raise it above the present limit .

Stock rev limiters on all these cars are approximately 6750 RPM and I would not change that unless you install different rods and rod bearings.

Hi

I am going to have it raised to 7k. The tip gearbox will change up in the normal way regardless so it will not be doing anything different to when it had te standard chip fitted. Its just the clash of limit vs change up I want to overcome.
