Default Tire wear bars / tread question

I need a set of rear tires but am wondering if they still might have 400 miles left in them before they get changed. The wear bar indicators are flush with the tread on the inner portion of the tire (Michelin Pilot Sports).

Tomorrow's forecast is really nice. Roads will be dry. Any opinions on tire life remaining? I want to drive the 911 but don't want to screw-up the car. Speed would not be a factor. Comments?

What can I say.... it's very likely you will still have adequate grip in the wet, if you drive according to the conditions, and if it doesn't rain there will be no issue, but what about the cops?

Will they cut you some slack?

The wear bars are an indication of acceptable wet traction remaining.

If you can stick to dry roads, or at least out of standing water, no worries whatsoever. You've got lot's of wear remaining past the wear bars...

Best,

Matt

I'm with Matt. You're fine in the dry for at least 400 miles. do whatever you can to avoid rain.
