Last of the the last air cooled years, that's good.
It's an "S".
Great exterior color.
Mods are good.
Leather color will hurt you a little.
Resonable mileage.
Good "asking" price as your starting point.

$48K is probaby "fine," but I don't think the phone will start ringing until you get to $45K. All depends on how fast you want to sell. Fortunately, there are lots of buyers in SoCal.

An RLer recently purchased an unmolested silver/black C2S with 13k mi for $50k. That makes sense to me. There was another RLer who bought an unmolested arena red C4S with mid 20k mi for $39k. That was well-bought but probably worth low to mid $40s.

In reference to the above, I would ask low $40s and go from there. Don't be fooled by the many S cars listed for sale at 07/08 prices. They sit for months on end.

I dunno, folks...My dad told me that it's always easier to lower your price than raise it. I think he should hang in there at $48K and make someone give him an offer but I would suggest some good-looking outdoor pics of the car. Being in San Diego, you got no excuses!
