I have had them on my car for over a year and like them. I prefer the 996
my02s 5 spokes (slightly lighter and don't require spacers) but much easier to find the carrera IIIs and they were priced right. They are light, approximately 21lbs front and 24lbs rear, and very durable. My car is lowered to RS specs and as recommended I added 8mm spacers up front and have no rubbing issues.

Them's good ones Ilko. Almost as good as MY02s
. Seriously, I prefer the MY02, but these are much less expensive now and should work spectacularly well. The MY02s have gone up a lot from what they used to cost and these probably will as well.

+1, very similar to the 02s, I like the 5-spoke style.

I was close to buying a take off set of these with brand new tires at a very reasonable price. However, i realized that the tire size with these wheels is not correct for the 993. The wheels will work as long as you run spacers on the front, but the tires that come with these wheels on the 997 will not work with our cars. Still, there are a lot of good deals out there on these wheels.

A 6mm spacer is perfectly safe with the stock studs. The rule of thumb is to have at least as much bolt tread depth as the diameter of the bolt, which the 6mm spacer provides. Anything larger and you will need longer studs.
Porsche and RUF have a long history of running spacers on their cars from the factory, I see nothing silly about it.
