Default Thinking of Selling, Thoughts?

I am considering selling my 96 C2 56,000 mile 993 to buy ???? or possibly finish the basement ofmy house. I have owned the car almost 3 years and have only put about 6,000 miles on it most during the first 6 months. It is Arena red with grey interior. I purchased the car exactly as it sits with the exception of the wheels. I am thinking of posting it here, craigslist, etc. I would like to get $35k for the car and was wondering if fellow 993 owners thought the asking price was out of line?

Good/mods:
-Sport seats
-BBS LM's with nearly new Goodyear ? tires (the origional wheels are MIA)
-H&R coilovers (I still have the factory springs & struts)
-Brey Krause upper strut brace
-RS steering wheel (I still have the factory wheel)
-996 Aluminium shift ****
-Alpine/iPod stereo w/Alpine Speakers (allspeakers are factory size in factory locations)
-Plugs, wires, and caps recently replaced
-45k service w/new clutch done when I purchased the car
-Oil and both filters changed every summer
-New windshield
-Clean Carfax
-I have most records

Bad:
-The paint on the front bumper has been touched up
-The rear bumper is slightly melted on both sides from the exhuast (And yes the heat deflectors are in place. I have actually seen this on 2 other cars in person not sure why this happens)
-Some rock chips on the hood

You didn't mention clear directional lenses - although they're kind of obvious. Agree price seems fair.

Join the PCA and do an autocross. Then you'll NEVER sell her!

I had the similar situation with my '86. Only put 10k on in 3 years....was <5 miles from work, so I didn't drive it to work, didn't do any AX then. Sold it. Took 2 months for INTENSE regret to set in....(took a new job and my new co-workers were car guys....944Turbo, 994, 73vette, BWM330, '65Vette.... sigh. Took 6 years to get around to the 993, but it was torture!

Seller's remorse will set in and you'll end up trolling the classifieds and never find another car that will quite match up with the car you just sorted out and sold.

You will miss the car. Notice my signature. =(

I just couldn't buy another 993 after all the money I put into the stolen one.

Sell it.

You'll regret it, but then you get to find another one.

Sell the one you find.

You'll regret it, but then you get to find another one.

By the third one you should have learned your lesson.

Really?!? I thought you'd be ready to get back on the horse again by now? Although assuming you haven't moved, I can see why you're hesitant to provide more fodder for the f-ing theives! After my Harley was stolen, that just killed the whole hobby for me, and I seldome think about H-Ds anymore.

Maybe you can come down and have a beer with us? I'll be posting a "Rennfest" notice in a bit...

For what you got, $35k is a good starting price. It's great low miles, well taken car of, great seats, etc. Any pics of the "bad" stuff on the car and the interior pics?

Good luck. I'd hate to be you right now... and afraid I will be soon, too.
