J.B.H,

You will notice it gets better each time you drive it. The first day feels like a break in stage "IMO", and getting use to the mufflers sound. The more I drove it the more reason why I chose stage III's. It's a true Porsche sound to me, that's what I was looking for. As soon as you start the motor up all you get is this on your face : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) I am loving it!!!

P.S. Rennlisters feel free to contact me if you want to come by and hear them in person. I don't mind it at all, just PM me.

You think the sound and look will raise any concerns with California smog check stations? Or were you planning "an exchange" before it comes time?

Just another Cali 993 owner wanting Stage III's. Hope the wifey would agree there're a must for our 993's.

How do these compare with RSR's? How can I get these done in Europe? I suppose shipping back and forth is not a viable option?

I had unbaffled Supercups on my cab for several years. There were no issues when getting the 993 smogged.

The cat and o2 sensors are all still in place. Plus the cans look as stock. I have never had any issues with anyone smogging cars with my mufflers. Most smog shops don't even know what they are looking at anyways, when it comes to Porsches

Thanks guys for the verification. I know most smog shops don't know what they are looking at. I just wanted to confirm that before making the plunge.

Darin, quick question: why do the mufflers in post #1 have different shaped outlet/inlet pipes then the ones in #8, just curious. Or is is just the angle of the pics?

Chuck's mufflers are turbo mufflers. They are different than NA mufflers.

I currently have RSR's installed which I liked over the stock sound but I decided to go for Darin's stage III's in basic black after hearing the sound bites and I should have them sometime soon. I will post again after I get them installed and quit laughing about how much the new sound pisses my neighbors off.

I made a little sound clips with the help of my buddy, not the best quality videos but you get the idea. The mufflers sound much better in person.
