We lived in the area around Stuttgart when I was younger. I remember getting pulled over by one of those before. We were on the Autobahn in a DeTomaso, going the other direction, hauling a$$. We saw them and gave them the finger and continued on. They apparently saw us and took the next offramp, turned around and caught us 3 or so exits later. We got a hefty fine too. The Autobahn always has center dividers so they couldn't just turn around.

I recall seeing a press photo with Butzi Porsche in it that recognized the 1,000,000 Porsche and it was a police car like the one above. Hope I have my facts correct.

Never, EVER, give a finger in Germany. It is the ultimate insult. You were lucky they did not take you to the "hoosegow" where someone would have drilled you a new one!!!
You were lucky.
You were lucky.

I guess it would be great for all the reasons we love them, but how impracticle for the officer - ingress/egress, sidearm, gear storage, laptop in the pass seat . . . could you imagine taking one across the median?
Do they use them for taxi service after the police are done with them like here in the US?
