Default Immobilizer woes

Someone on our board suggested using the key to lock the car door, then using the immobilzer fob button to unlock. I just found out that doesn't work, car towed to the dealer as a result.

Did you try the override switch in the glove box?

First I have ever heard of that. I'm quite sure there is no such thing on my '95 though I have not looked carefuly. Nothing in the manual about it either. You have one?

I have one but it does nothing to override the immobilzer----my stereo/alarm guy says he can disable it and with the next upgrade (stereo) I will get rid of the immobilzer.

Do you have a late 95 with the actual immobilizer?
If you do and you stereo guy plans to get rid of it without reprogramming the DME then no offence but GOOD LUCK.

I forgot to mention that I would let him give it a shot but if he f's it up, you are responsbile.

If there are 2 things I dont care for on my 95, its the immobilizer and the LWF is a distant 2nd.
