Where exactly are you? Not like anyone can't do it. And as above, if you've got a "test only" notice you have to go to one of those, or a Gold Shield station.
In any case, if you're close to San Leandro, Bob is the owner of Quality Tune at the corner of 150th & E14th. His cousin, the former owner and now Quality Tune corporate, has a 3.0 930 I used to work on. Bob has a working knowledge of 911s from all the customer cars I've brought his way, though that was admittedly in the 2.7/3.0/3.2 days.
