Greetings. I'm the proud owner of a "new" 993 TT (1996). I took it to the track today and it performed admirably until the ABS lights and anti-lock lights came on. The breaks felt fine so I assumed that the heat got to them and a cooling off period would help. After taking a pit and shutting it down, I restarted it an hour later to see if the warning lights were still on - they were. I shut it down again for about 1 minute before a friend wanted to see the lights. When I turned the key again, I got clicks - dead battery? I jumped it, tried a slow lap, and the engine died as I was pitting again complete with battery, hand-brake, check engine, and most other lights lit. The car is now on it's way (via a flat-bed) to the Porsche dealer. I'm a Porsche novice but it sure felt like the battery was not re-charging - alternator problem? I will get a diagnosis from the shop tomorrow. Any ideas?
Thanks...
