FS: 1996 Midnight Blue Coupe
Okay, after waffling back and forth over the last year I've decided to sell her. I really want a cab in similar condition and hope that I can sell/buy without taking much of a hit on NJ sales tax. I have been incredibly busy with a new law practice lately and I'm now on vacation so finally have a chance to post. If you do a search on my name, I posted a month or two ago with a feeler at $34.5. I received a lot of responses but nobody pulled the trigger and I didn't have the time to follow up. I'm lowering the price to Rennlisters in the hope that someone will move quickly and push me to act. The car is now officially listed at $33k. In short, here are the particulars. I will get pictures up next weekend when I return from vacation. I have some pics from this winter on my laptop for those who are interested. If I have time tomorrow maybe I'll post them.
1996 Coupe
Midnight Blue over Grey (black dashboard and steering wheel)
57,700 miles
6spd
Very tight
Interior is a 9. Normal wear on driver side bolster
Exterior is gorgeous. Hood has probably been re-sprayed.
Front passenger fender was resprayed and has slight drip (not noticeable).
Consumes no oil between changes (every 3k miles since I've owned the car)
Car starts on a dime even after not being started for a month - no smoke
Car has new brakes, new ABS head unit, re-built calipers
Passed NJ inspection last week
Rear tires have 5k miles on them. Fronts are in good shape.
Service records go back to 2000 (if I remember correctly - will check upon my return)
I drove a lot of 993s before I bought this one and it is by far the tightest one I have driven. Very fast and stable at speed.
Negatives:
Passenger window intermittently fails to open from driver's button.
Windshield creaks in colder temperatures but is cured by applying wax.
Please contact me through email as I don't check PMs very often. ergoldberg@optonline.net.
Thanks,
Eric

Many owners who are discovering track time consider a coupe to be an upgrade, so maybe a trade for a cab (here or Pelican) won't take too, too long? It might also mitigate some depreciation for both of you (maybe?) Either way, I expect that your new cab needs to be registered at market value, so you may not be spared too much of the tax hit..

Just have the seller write the bill of sale for whatever. Tax has been paid several times on the car. No reason to pay more. DMV doesn't care with a bill of sale. I did about $12,000 each of my last 2.
