Default New 98 CS2 with pics and Thanks for new guy

All,

I wanted to thank all of you for the help you have provided over the past 6 long months. I finally found and purchased the car I had been looking for. I've had this 993 bug for years. About 3 years ago I finally decided to pull the trigger. The only problem was - there were no 993s in the condition and at the price point I had in mind. So I compromised and went with an '03 996 instead. It was a fun car as far as it went but it didn't do anything for me. So at the end of last fall I put the 996 on the market and started the search for what I wanted in the first place.

I've been lurking on this board for a few years. There is no better source for information and advice out there. I kept a close eye on this board as well as numerous classified but in the end I found what I was looking for closer to home. With the help of a couple of knowlegable Porsche guys (Dave Maynard was incredibly helpful and patient with me - I would recommend him to any newbie) I found the car I was looking for.

I think I know the drill from reading other posts but if I miss something go easy on me !

The car is a '98 C2S with 20K miles on it.
Black with Tan interior
Motor Sound
CD
Leather Comfort Seats
Ruff 18" Five spoke wheels
No other mods

The car is in pretty much perfect condition. This is the car I really wanted and I can't stay out of it at this point. I attached two pictures below (at least I think I did - this is the first time I've tried it). More pics later if you are interested.

That's a beauty, congratulations and welcome. Okay, here's your first nudge down the slippery slope, you gotta get rid of the SUV ride height.

Interesting that an 03 996 did nothing for you in the end.

Glad you ended up with something that DOES do something for you. The looks of an "S" 993 are really great compared to your 996 in my opinion.

Mine sure does A LOT for me too.
