Yesterday, Wifey knocked a brick loose out of a 5' circular outdoor planter. Is there an easy way to stick the brick back in? I was thinking about a liberal application of Liquid Nails, then squishing it all back together and jamming the old morter wedge back in place. I don't want this to become a new project...

regardless of what you use-motar mix, masonry chaulk, etc The "new" material around the brick will be a different color.
Pointing brick is relitively straight forward, you just need a few tools. Go to any big box store-maybe even your local hardware/builder supply store, and tell them what your gonna do.
You'll need a small bag of motar mix(just add water), a mixsing trowel, and a pointing trowel, or joint slicker. Chances are, that if one brick came loose...many more will follow. If that is the case, a masony hammer and flat chisel will come in handy also.
It's cheap, and easy , as a DIY.

Thanks everyone. I've already have a tube of Liquid Nails open from a recent job. Better use it up before it dries out. This is the top brick in essentially a decorative a 3(?) brick stack. Structural work is a different matter, but I think I have nothing to lose and gravity on my side...
