While doing some maintenance, I was checking my tires and found a 1.5" cut to the cords. Looking at it I'm really surprised it didn't blow... lucky, but pissed.

Anyway, does anyone have a decent pair before I order some?

If I need to order, I'm torn between getting two PPs or a full set of Sumitomos for the same money.

Check out the Hankooks Ventus V12 Evos--they have a $50 rebate going on right now. Higher rated tires but at the end of the day, Im sure the Sumi's would do just fine.

Craigslist, Ebay---next 2 stops if your looking to get a set of Pole's for the rear. I just sold my 4 @SO3 Pole Positions for $80---rears at 4/32, fronts 6/32.

Thanks. I almost tried the Hankooks... I've been looking for some Cup IIs and just missed a set that had Hankook V12s on them.

I'm sure they're great tires, but based on the posts here and on TR the Sumis seem be pretty solid and have way more reviews - street and track/AX.

I'm pretty bummed that it's the nicest weather so far this year and my car is in limp mode. All of the used RE050As currently on eBay are the run-flats. Even though it kills me to throw away the fronts, I'm going to give it until Monday to find some decent rears and then I think I'm going with a full set of Sumis.
