Hey that's great, congratulations. I'm sure your money will be arriving very soon.

I am located in Germany currently, have bought 2 993s since last April and I am looking for the 3rd one now
I did not wire the funds directly to the seller in both cases. I wired the money to a buddy in the States and he took care of the rest for me.
I know at least 2 buyers here in Europe who got burned, wired the funds to the seller's bank account and have never heard back anything from the sellers.
What would be your advise to a buyer from Europe? wire the funds and trust the seller, potentially never receive the car nor the money?
I think I would not have a problem to wire the money to a car dealer with reputations but to a private party?!?!
The best thing is just book the next flight and spend a day or 2 in the States, see the car and pay it in cash or wire as long as you are there. You can get a flight for less than $700-800 these days from Europe to the states.

I would be very uncomfortable selling my car to anyone who has not made an effort to see my car in person. How do they know I'm selling them a good car. Works both ways.
Meet the buyer, show them your car, take their cash.

Recent transaction with Germany
I recently sold a car to a guy named Tom F. from Germany.
He responded to my PCA ad, asked all the right questions and within 2 days he flew to Boston to see the car.
I picked him up at the airport and he spent 2+ hours going over the car.
Struck a deal with a handshake and drove him to the airport.
Money arrived into my account a few days later which I then moved to a different Bank.
Title then sent to his transport company.
He arranged pickup and transport of the car.
He spoke of never buying a car he has not seen in person or meeting the owner.
I will comment that one of the most important things to him was having ALL the documentation.
Warranty book with dealer stamps, original window stickers, all service receipts and even the radio owners guide were important to him.
He said "Americans don't really understand how important these documents are"
There are some honest buyers out there, just be careful and get the person's ID and or Passport info BEFORE you take them to your car.
Good Luck with your sale

At the very least they should express an interest in looking at the vehicle as photos mean nothing.

What would be your advice to a buyer from Europe...Shahram
As for bank drafts, my bank waits two weeks for out-of-province ones to clear, and a month, for out-of-country ones.
