Heaby, true. But, as Mike well knows, they are much more aerodynamic in a Cab. Equivalent to a slight HP gain. The aero effect is less noticeable in a coupe unless both windows are down.

Sometimes they are ordered with the Porsche crest on the headrest. Are these any more rare than the seats themselves or does this detract from the value?

VERY RARE??????????????????
unusual perhaps, but IMO not RARE.
it seems that ~ 10% of the 993's i see have them, but that's just anecdotal evidence and the population i see may be skewing my perceptions.
but
if / when i sell my spare set, I'll probably advertise them as VERY RARE too.

cheers

When I had them in the cab I didn't paint them. However, prior to pciking up the turbo, I had them painted. I like the look....

^ get an upholsterer to add a little more lumber support padding behind the seat back center cushion. Should only be about $200 just for the driver’s seat, possibly less

As the lower centre panel is held at the bottom with velcro why not just try to put some extra foam behind it before spending lots of hard earned

Craig, let me know first before you go selling any "spare" hardback seats!
