Default rings

Yup, nice job, look great with just the right amount of bling. The 3M tape worked great, BTW.

Thanks again Chris!
Got them and they are all installed. They go absolutely perfect with the 997 aluminum shift **** I put in a while back.

I wasn't too excited about the rings because I didn't think they would good with my plain dash. I finally installed them and I was very wrong. They look great. Staples carries the 3M Exterior Tape which worked well. If only someone around here would make a nice ebrake aluminum accent piece I'd be all set.

ps now I need a new ignition trim ring.

Default My most useful contribution to the Rennlist community

After benefitting from tons of advice on this great site, I think I finally have new and useful piece of info to contribute.

My car was at the body shop when my rings arrived. I asked by body shop guy how to best affix the rings and he pulled out a new(ish) 3M product called: Press-In-Place Emblem Adhesive. It was amazing - he just rolled the rings on the adhesive and then affixed them in place. They are flush and strong. Totally flush since the adhesive is only a thin residue.

Here is the link to the page on the 3M site: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...glP6P5N7LJ29bl

Let me know how it works for you,

Yeah, Chris...how about a billet ignition trim ring? I've seen them on other cars, but don't know where to order one. A handbrake piece would also be nice, but I imagine that would be harder to make.

Looking good. I also have the trim rings from Chris and added some more small alu bits and pieces to the interior.

- e-brake button, tiptronic button and ignition surround from porscheshop.co.uk
- alu look e-brake tray and replacement for the casette storage from design911i

Ignition trim ring would be no problem, just have to draw something up.
