Default What`s missing ?

hi guys, last week when doing an oil change, I noticed what looks like a missing inspection cover. should there be one ? I have looked in my manual but can`t find a picture of said area. thanks steve

Kind of looks like the opening for the clutch breather pipe. I'll check the PET CD...

exactly!

there is a plastic-like fitting there and a hose that runs up top and eventually terminates at the the intake air box

Second that. Check the engine bay, is the rubber snorkel to the airbox there? If not the clutch breather/vent has been removed. This as it says vents gasses etc and helps cool the clutch. Not a massive problem, but the hole needs dealing with in my opinion.

There's the rubber snorkel at the air box attached to a metal tube with a flex hose at the end. I think there's still a part missing like a hose end to attach to the trans. Can't seem to find that in the PET CD, but here's the unit to the air box:

Thanks guys, the hose at the airbox is there . I didn`t realise where it went, or used to go before i had the new clutch installed last year . i will source new parts and go back to not letting anyone touch my stuff again, thanks again steve

I hope it's not a tip.. or Steve will have a heck of a time installing the RS-style shift rod we are sending him...

part # for the fitting at the trans is 993 116 063 00

and dont let just anyone touch your car

mark if you have, or can supply that part can you include it with my order, otherwise i will have to get it from O.S anyway steve

LOL -- for some reason it appeared as a tip with respec to the starter mounting. Been working too many hours is my problem

good tips!

I assume "horn" is a good thing

unfortunately, the fitting isn't readily availble. Not sure what else they left off... most likely the hose that connects to that fitting is also MIA. The 2 pieces above that are likely there but as Eric said, you have to take a peek.
